Privacy

How FolioTree treats your information. This page is a structural placeholder — not a finished legal policy.

Development placeholder Final privacy-policy wording will be supplied and reviewed before public launch and Google Play publication. Do not rely on the draft sections below as legal advice or as a complete policy.

Data stored on your device

Draft heading — content TBC. FolioTree is designed so that genealogy data (people, relationships, GEDCOM-related data, media, and related notes) is stored locally in the app or browser rather than on a FolioTree-operated genealogy database. Details of storage mechanisms, retention, and user controls will be documented here.

Backups and exports

Draft heading — content TBC. When you export GEDCOM, download FolioTree backups, or save files through your device, those files are under your control. This section will describe what FolioTree does and does not receive during those operations.

Analytics

Draft heading — content TBC. FolioTree may use privacy-conscious analytics in future (for example, aggregated product usage without person names or tree content). No analytics script is active on this marketing site yet. In-app analytics disclosure will match whatever is enabled at launch.

Contact

Draft heading — content TBC. A contact route for privacy questions will be listed here before publication (see also Support).
